Real Stories. Bold Women. A Living Reef.
Women 4 Reefs
Women 4 Reefs is a storytelling initiative by Science4Reefs Foundation, celebrating women from different backgrounds whose lives have been transformed by coral reef conservation. These are stories of courage, passion and connection to nature, told by the women who live them.
We aim to spotlight women working to protect coral reefs and marine ecosystems, highlighting the unique, life-changing experiences they’ve had because of their work and how they got there.
One of the core goals of Women 4 Reefs is to inspire younger generations, especially young women, to see themselves as part of the movement to protect our oceans. By amplifying these stories, we hope to spark curiosity, ignite action, and show that there are many paths to making a difference.

WHY?
Women4Reefs was created in response to an urgent reality: the future of coral reefs depends on the people who protect them, and that future must be built now.
Across Polynesia, the Pacific and beyond, women are stepping forward with a strong desire to learn, protect, and take action for the ocean. They are already answering the call of the reef. Yet too often, they lack access to the training, tools, mentorship, and opportunities needed to fully engage in conservation efforts.
Women4Reefs exists to change that.
The program is designed to train, equip and mentor women, empowering them to become the next generation of leaders in coral reef conservation. By turning motivation into knowledge and commitment into action, Women4Reefs helps transform passion into measurable, long-term impact for reefs.
More than a program, Women4Reefs is a movement : one that supports women who are ready to step into their role as key actors in the protection of coral reef ecosystems.
By supporting Women4Reefs, you are investing in people, capacity, and lasting solutions for the future of coral reefs.
