Coral Growth-EN

A few weeks ago, we introduced tiny coral recruits of Acropora cyntherea into our aquaria and nursery systems. After a challenging first week, during which only ~16% survived, the strongest recruits are now thriving.

Current survival rates:
• Acropora Cytherea 28: 70%
• Acropora Cytherea 31: 99%

Early-stage mortality is common in coral settlement. The stabilization and high survival rates we are now observing are promising indicators of resilience and successful early development.

These results reinforce the importance of careful monitoring and adaptive management in coral restoration efforts. Onward , the reef is waiting!

Stay tuned to continue watching these babies grow!
